Pizzazzled Creativity!

Last night I spent my “tv time” with the sewing machine and history channel.  These creations all came out of trades with one of the fiber art groups I belong to.

The first is my interpretation of an Oriental Fan.  I sketched it out, knowing that they frequently have wood (or plastic) frames.  When I found the fabric I liked, an old blouse, I started the hunt for the right thing to make the frame and came across a piece of dyed silk.

On the right is a glass cabochon I made that happens to have the same colors and flow as the blouse, so I added that after quilting the background fabric.
