Hold on sweetie how much will it cost?

The Bug thread paintings are framed and hanging in the Hot Shops.  On the day of show opening, Bug attended in person.  Complete strangers said “Hey, we just saw you in the gallery!” – What an awesome compliment, these folks recognized the dog from the thread paintings!

After finishing Bug’s portraits, I thought heavily about listing “commissions accepted” on the art labels.  I didn’t, I just put NFS (not for sale), and figured if someone is interested, they have my name and I’m relatively easy to find.

Bug’s super awesome hairdresser from Tailwaggers, Vicki, reached out to me on Facebook and asked if I could make a Chester painting.  Chester’s an adorable Biewer Terrier with great coloring and lots of fuzziness – how could I resist the request?  Just like any artist, our least favorite part is the discussion of money.  It’s not that it’s hard for us to pick a random per hour figure and multiply that by our time, but most people don’t want to pay that huge number…  So this one’s a barter, after all, we have to keep our Buggie beautiful!
