The dramatic combination of red and black is one that always pulls me into an art piece. I added to the dramatic impact with a gradation of oranges through the inside before the carefully carved hole in the center, my interpretation of a black hole.
DETAILS:
Pâte de Verre, created from a hand-built clay bowl that was subsequently destroyed in the process of making the mold.
FINISHED SIZE: 9 inches diameter by about 3 inches high
