The bas-relief was created by carving a thick piece of plaster in reverse, allowing the glass to sink into the sloth and his tree. To complete this sculpture, Jim forged branches for the Sloth to rest on while climbing up (or down) the steel tree trunk.

The sloths’ habitat is declinging by 1% each year for new roads, gold-mining, logging and agriculture.
